Warm, cozy, and full of life this Pumpkin Pie Spice Blend is your fall flavor superpower. Made cinnamon-forward with just the right touch of nutmeg, ginger, clove, and allspice, it’s brighter and more aromatic than any store-bought mix. Perfect for pies, cookies, syrups, oatmeal, and all your homemade PSL magic, it’s the blend even your grandma would approve.

Ingredients

  • 5 tsp 9 g ground cinnamon

  • 1 tsp 3.5 g ground nutmeg

  • 1 tsp 2 g ground ginger

  • 1/2 tsp 1.5 g ground clove

  • 1/4 tsp 0.75 g ground allspice

Equipment

Directions

  • Before We Start

Freshness Matters: Ground spices lose potency quickly. Grinding whole spices is a great option. For us, we typically buy them in small quantities in the bulk section of our health foods grocer to get them fresh, but pre-ground. If your spices are older than 6 months, then replace them for best results.
  • Combine the Spices

In a small bowl, whisk together the cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, clove, and allspice until fully blended.

NOTE: Whisking does a better job of de-clumping the ground spices vs just shaking in a jar (although it certainly looks cooler)
  • Store Properly

Transfer to an airtight spice jar and store in a cool, dark place. Best within 6 months.

Wondering what to use this in? This blend was designed specifically for our Pumpkin Spice Lattes. We add it to make our pumpkin spice syrup and use it to dust the top of the PSL. This adds more than just looks to the latte, it puts the aromatic spices right at your nose as you sip it. You can also use it in pumpkin pies, purees, baked goods, you name it.
