Ingredients

  • 57 g 4 tbsp Soy Sauce

  • 30 g 3 tbsp Rice Vinegar (unseasoned)

  • 6 g 1 tsp Chili Garlic Sauce

  • 3 g 1/2 tsp Toasted Sesame Oil

  • 2 g 1/2 tsp green onion, about 1/2 green onion, finely chopped (optional)

  • 2 g 1/2 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Equipment

Directions

  • Before We Start

Versatility: You can use this sauce for gyoza, potstickers, dumplings… it is great for any type of dumpling.
Chili Garlic Sauce: This stuff is complex in flavor and has a long shelf life, making it the perfect cheat code for a quick delicious sauce at a moment’s notice. If you don’t have it, substitute sriracha or chili oil.
Green Onion: The green onion is an optional add-on. It doesn’t bring a lot to the party, so if you are in a hurry and want to avoid cleaning a knife and cutting board, it’s OK to skip.
Sesame Seeds: You can also add sesame seeds for garnish. Totally optional.
  • Add ingredients together

Measure and combine the soy sauce, vinegar, chili garlic sauce, and sesame oil in a small bowl.
  • Mix

Using a spoon or fork, mix all the ingredients until well incorporated.
  • Garnish (optional)

Finely chop up the green onion adding the green parts only to the sauce as well as the sesame seeds and enjoy.
